Are
you an experienced PLASTIC MODELLER who can produce
HIGH-QUALITY plastic models?
I am looking for somebody to build one plastic model
kit for me. The kit must be built to HIGH STANDARDS
of realism. If you have experience with aircraft,
ships, etc then you can do this. If when you make
model kits, you get fingerprints all over everything
and paint everything with a brush (in other words,
you dont have an airbrush), then you are not the right
person.
I am willing to compensate the right person
either by giving them some quality N-gauge railroad
items or, alternately, some cash. I prefer
the former, clearly. My budget is somewhat limited,
but perhaps we can find an equitable arrangement.
It is not a particularly hard kit to build.. in fact,
with its nice right angles, this probably ranks in
the "easiest 10%" of model kits out there,
certainly easier than most aircraft and ships. It
should only take a few hours work, I think. However,
I do want it built to a high standard, including any
seams correctly filled and sanded, decals professionally
applied, glosscoats and matte-coats as appropriate,
and so forth.
What this is is a 4-car n-gauge trainset kit. It
is a "pre-painted" kit, which means that
the major body colour has been done and the stripe
has been painted, so you dont need to worry about
that. What you need to do is paint and weather the
rest of the bits and generally make the train look
great. Everything that you need for the train is included,
including bogies, pantographs, details, motor unit
(for the powered car), etc. I will give you full guidance
as to which decals and optional parts to use and where
they go. This train is a Keio railways 6000-class
EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) set in the "new"
Kato livery blue and pink stripe.
Interested? Please send some photographs of your
previous plastic model work to me at
and we can talk!
Below are some more photos of the model kit and also
the prototype train. The model kit was not cheap and
it is rather rare, so I do want this done right! It's
a neat opportunity.. I look forward to your email!
